March 19th the city of Sandusky suffered a tremendous loss. Police Officer Andrew Dunn was shot and killed as he stopped a man on a bicycle. Although I did not know Officer Dunn, the outpouring of support and respect from people throughout the surrounding communities and even across the state and country was incredibly moving.
This tragedy has left me reflecting on the dedicated service of so many people. We can’t say it often enough. For all the men and women who keep us safe – police, paramedics, firefighters, and our military – please know you are appreciated and respected.
